NORTH EAST:  AMAZING IGUAZU FALLS.

Days suggested: 2. Flight from Buenos Aires: 1h.45. Best season: All year round

Enjoy some of the most overwhelming falls in the world where the film “The Mission” was filmed.

Day 1: falls on the Argentine side whole day. Three trails to interact with the strength of the floods of water and be face to face with the native wildlife. Optional: Have fun taking a motor boat and going right under some of the falls with the experts: get ready to get soaked wet!

Day 2: Brazilian side half a day. Optional: Helicopter view of the falls (12 minutes). Also, the Birds Park with astonishing types of birds

(OPTIONAL: Day 3. Adventure sports like canopy, rappel, and others, and visit to an Indian Guarani community guided by an Indian.)

The order of the countries can be the other way round

NORTH WEST: SALTA AND JUJUY. MOUNTAINS AND COLONIAL HERITAGE

Days suggested: 3-5.  Flight from Buenos Aires: 2 h.10.  Best season: March to December.

Day 1: City tour in Salta admiring its colonial past, reflected in its ancient traditions and architecture. One of the few cities in the country with a clear Spanish heritage.

            Optional: Horseback riding on the mountains.

Day 2: Jujuy, the neighbour province. Allow yourself to be taken to the eloquent quietness of the Quebrada de Humahuaca ( Humahuaca depression) and visit little towns on the mountains where time seems to have stopped a long time ago. Admire the beauty of the Indian culture and art that merge together with the colours of “The seven colours Mount”. The rain forest will be a contrasting landscape with what we will have admired before.

Day 3:  Safari to the Clouds. We will combine the most important circuits in the Northwest in one day: the “Road to the Clouds” following the famous railway track of the “Train to the Clouds” up to San Antonio de los Cobres; the circuit going through the Puna up to Salinas Grandes (Salt Lakes) and the downhill trip to the picturesque village of Purmamarca.

Day 4: Wine day. Cafayate and Quebrada de las Conchas: Impressive combination of mountains range with breathtaking shapes and colours and aggressive blue skies. Cafayate is surrounded by vineyards where the famous Torrontés white wine is produced. Visit one of the best and traditional wineries and be received with the known warmth of the “salteños”

Day 5: We cross to Atacama Dessert (Chile)

THE WEST: MENDOZA WINETRAIL

 Days suggested: 3.  Flight from Buenos Aires: 1h.50. Best season: All year round

Visit the fruit orchards and vineyards where the famous Argentine wines are made. The wine trail will take you to some of the best wineries of the country and their owners will reveal the secrets that generations of immigrants and argentines have developed to create a wine with personality.
Allow yourself to be spoilt at one of the various boutique hotels on the vineyards where every detail is taken into account to make you feel at home.

Visit the Cañon del Atuel  and the Inca Bridge (Puente del Inca), which reveal amazing multi-shaped and coloured layers: silent witnesses of Prehistoric times in the Andes.

Great skiing too in Las Leñas.

NORTHERN PATAGONIA: BARILOCHE, THE LITTLE SWITZERLAND OF SOUTH AMERICA

Days suggested: 4. Flight from Buenos Aires: 2h.15. Best season: All year round

Navigation to Victoria Island and Arrayanes Woods (Bosque de Arrayanes): Incredible boat ride across the lake towards a unique centennial trees forest. Lodging in the Isla Victoria Hotel is a must (island).
Lake crossing to Chile: Combination of trekking, vehicles and catamaran rides. Undoubtedly, one of the most amazing trips in Patagonia.
Sports in rivers, mountains and lakes: Rafting, horseback riding and mountain bike are highly suggested.
Seven Lakes road: Visiting the 7 main Lakes of the area is an unforgettable experience.
Other activities: excellent golf fields and great ski: Bariloche has one of the best skiing resorts of Argentina. Try it!
Snow sports from July to beginning of October: snow sledges, snow cat, cross-country and others.

CENTRAL PATAGONIA: VALDES PENINSULA, LAND OF PENGUINS, WHALES AND DOLPHINS

Days suggested: 3. Flight from Buenos Aires: 2 h. Best season: August to April

A vast Patagonian typical landscape projected into the sea forms two gulfs of sheltered waters which is a meeting point for the southern right whales. Admire  the sea lion colonies with a rich variety of birds and a colony of penguins which can reach more than one million animals, seals and elephant seals.

In Punta Tombo you’ll find the biggest colony of Maguellanic penguins in the world. In the reserve you can walk among them. They gather there to breed their offspring.

Stay on one of the Patagonian farms and live an unforgettable experience observing native wildlife.

SOUTHERN PATAGONIA: GLACIERS (CALAFATE)

Days suggested: 2. Flight from Buenos Aires: 3 h. 15. Best season: October to May
 
GLACIERS IN CALAFATE: Breathtaking landscape of impressive glaciers descending from the continental ice field.

Day 1: Visit the Perito Moreno Glacier sailing close to it and then admiring it from the many trails. Optional: Minitrekking of about 1h.30 on the Glacier Perito Moreno (children under 12 and adults older than 60 not accepted). Difficulty: moderate. Or try the trekking of about 4 hs. Difficulty: high. Only for trained people


Day 2. Go sailing on the deep blue lakes and admire the  wonderful glaciers of Spegazzini, Upsala and others. At night, flight to Ushuaia.

Optional activities: Horseback riding on the mountains with a great view of Lake Argentino

END OF THE WORLD: USHUAIA: Flight from Calafate: 1h.15.

Day1:  Traditional sailing: Sail the Beagle Canal feeling you are at the tip of the world surrounded by a breathtaking landscape of mountains, snow and native nature. Your companions, the penguins, sea lions and many other species will lead you to the famous lighthouse which is called  the “lighthouse of the end of the world”.

             A Different sailing: Join a group of no more than 10 people with a private guide and sail the Beagle Canal, docking on an island which is an ecological reserve. Learn everything about the Indians living there once, native nature and more. This is the only tour docking on an island

Day 2 : Visit  Tierra del Fuego National Park  with an expert guide and take “the train of the end of the World” going through the same forest where many years ago the prisoners of the famous Jail of Ushuaia were taken to work.

Day 3 : OPTIONAL Feel a real end of the world Gaucho visiting one of the most famous sheep estancias (farms) of Patagonia. Participate in the sheering of the sheep, horse ride, and much more.
Great Ski: Ushuaia has one of the best skiing resorts of Argentina. Try it!
